by time news

Ubisoft has revealed details on the seventh year of content for Rainbow Six Siegestarting with the first season Demon Veil. The most interesting news are a new map after three years, the Team Dathmatch game mode, the new operator Azami, match replay on consoles, updates and balances and a new bug reporting program to get in-game incentives. Azami, the new operator, comes from the security agencies and is Japanese. Her symbol is the crane, and her specialty is kunai, throwing blades that can also be used for melee. Once implanted, Azami’s cuna can build a bulletproof barrier, in order to create real variations on the map in your favor. Ubisoft defines it as the most complex operator ever introduced in the game.

The new map is called Emerald Plains, and is located in Ireland, in a multi-story country club. The map is designed specifically for competitive play. It will launch as a next update, around the middle of the season. Team Deathmatch mode is finally coming to Siege, with a pool of maps that includes Villa, Favela and Amusement Park. The rules are special: matches last five minutes or until 75 eliminations are reached. Operators are eliminated after 10 seconds outside. All operators can be chosen except those with shields. Other skills will be limited or made unavailable, such as those that allow you to build barricades. The Attacker Repick will be available starting in year 7 season 1, allowing forwards to change their operator and equipment during the preparatory phase. The change aims to generate greater impact during the preparatory phase through the possibility offered to attackers to exploit the information obtained and adapt their strategy. In addition to this, the match header has been updated to make it easier for players to make informed decisions when changing their operator or equipment. Attacker Repick is available for all modes in Quick Match, Ranked, Unranked and Pro League.

A Belgian operator will arrive in season 2 of the seventh year, along with a map set in Greece. The latter will only host clashes in Team Deathmatch. In the third season there will be a Singapore operator with a map designed for the competitive, and finally in the fourth we will meet an operator from Colombia. From season 3 the possibility of reporting cheating through the match replay system will be introduced. Reputation scoring systems will also be introduced in Season 3, and rewards and penalties will be implemented in Season 4. When players report problems on R6Fix and their status is updated to “Under Verification”, they will receive a reward per season, the size of which is determined by the most serious problem of all the reports made. Players on both the Test Server and Live Server can report issues and receive a reward for each season during the next Test Server season.

The console gaming experience will be improved and made more PC-like. Options on default, check settings are introduced. It also becomes possible to adjust the field of view. There will be a new training mode, the shooting range, to better prepare for the new challenges. Arcade modes will be changed every week, and each frog will be separated from the next by 100 points. Cross-play and cross-progression will then be introduced throughout the year, to play together across platforms and resume games between versions. From tomorrow until March 21, players will be able to purchase either the Limited Time Annual Pass or the Premium Passwhich unlocks four seasonal battle passes and 14-day early access to new operators.
