Minister Serigne Gué Diop Units Most Costs for Important Commodities in Dakar Area

DAKAR, June 24 (APS) – A decree printed on Monday by the Minister of Trade and Commerce, Serigne Gué Diop, units most costs for refined palm oil, peculiar damaged rice, crystallized sugar, wheat flour, bread and cement within the Dakar area.

In accordance with the ministerial determination, which confirms costs set final week by the Nationwide Shopper Council (CNC), a 20-litre can of palm oil on the manufacturing unit or upon import is bought at 18,500 CFA francs.

Elsewhere, the same amount of oil will now price 18,750 CFA francs and 19,000 respectively, relying on whether or not it’s bought in bulk or semi-wholesale. The retail value of a litre is 1,000 CFA francs.

The worth of a tonne of peculiar damaged rice is 375,000 on the manufacturing unit or on import, whereas for wholesale it’s 379,000, for semi-wholesale 385,000 and for retail it’s 410 CFA francs per kilo.

The worth of a ton of crystallized sugar on the Richard-Toll manufacturing unit (north) is 558,000 CFA francs. The import value of the same amount of sugar is 566,000 CFA francs.

If tonnes of crystallised sugar is bought in bulk it’s 571,000, for semi-wholesale commerce it’s 577,000.

Retailers are required to promote the identical merchandise at 600 CFA francs per kilo. A 50-kilo bag of Sort 55 wheat baking flour now prices 15,200 CFA francs.

For a similar quantity of higher baking flour you would need to pay 15,700 CFA francs.

A 60 gram baguette prices 50 CFA francs, a 115 gram baguette is being bought for 100 CFA francs, a 190 gram baguette for 150, and a 230 gram baguette for 200.

The worth of a ton of cement on the manufacturing unit is 65,000 CFA francs.

The identical tonne is bought by distributors for 71,000. On the retail degree, a 50 kg bag prices 3,550 CFA francs.
