As the incidence of corona in Tamil Nadu has come down drastically, the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare today released a report on the current situation. Accordingly, 788 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours. Today’s impact is down from 949 yesterday. The total number of corona confirmed in the state has increased to 34 lakh 45 thousand 717.
In Chennai, 223 people were confirmed to be infected with corona yesterday and today 191 people have been confirmed infected. 115 people have been confirmed infected in Coimbatore and 86 in Chengalpattu. New cases of single digits have been reported in 20 districts.
Today, 2,692 people were discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 33 lakh 93 thousand 703.
One person has died today from a corona virus infection. The death toll from the corona has risen to 37,981. The number of people receiving corona treatment across the state has dropped to 14,033.
