Meanwhile, Nigerian troops received a tip-off that a gang of ‘Pandits’ was hiding in the Maradi province of Niger. Following this, the Nigerian Air Force entered Niger and launched an air strike.
Children who were playing near the school have been mistakenly attacked by what they think is a pundit robbery gang. Seven innocent children who were playing in this air raid were tragically killed.
The Nigerian government says it is conducting an investigation into the mistaken attack.
