Actor-actress Sudeepa Chatterjee from Kolkata appeared as a guest at a cooking program in Bangladesh. In this event, Sudeepa was seen cooking beef while standing next to Bangladeshi actress Tareen Jahan. Then he came under the wrath of the followers of Hinduism. Threats of rape and murder are also being received on social media. He can’t even send his son to school because of fear.
Explaining the current situation, Sudeepa told Indian media TV Nine, ‘Trying to stay well. It’s been so long and I still haven’t been able to send my son to school. Maybe I can send it after a few days. Police are very helpful. They said, they will try to provide security.’
Earlier, Sudeepa came to Facebook Live and apologized to the netizens. In his words – ‘I apologize for hurting feelings. I will keep it in mind in the coming days. It didn’t really occur to me that it could be.’

Later Sudeepa Chatterjee clarified her position in an interview given to Hindustan Times. He said, ‘Many people love to create controversy. I have seen this before. But none of them want to know the truth. No one has seen with their own eyes. Those who posted hateful posts about this do not know the whole story. I have neither eaten beef nor cooked beef.’
I went to Bangladesh for an event on the occasion of Qurbani Eid. Beef is the national food of their country. It is not in my teaching to interfere with anyone’s religious taste. If I respect my own religion, then I cannot interfere with the religion of others, it is like me.’ Sudeepa Chatterjee said.
