WINSCHOTEN – Saturday, September 21, is World Alzheimer’s Day again. In previous years it was wide information market organized in the Boschpoort, from the Alzheimer Café Westerwolde/Oldambt; the In the upcoming edition, an activity will be chosen in the center of Winschoten.

On that day, a fun gathering with music and dancing will be organized on Israel Square. Interested parties can dance and of course, I hope the music will invite you to sing. Employees of healthcare providers (including Oosterlange), Welzijn Westerwolde and Social Work Oldambt are present, with snacks and drink, to find out more about dementia and the support they can provide.

Despite the fact that dementia is the number 1 public disease, the disease is often still something that is far from everyone and is not talked about. This makes people lonely, the world smaller and life more difficult. The number of people with dementia in Oldambt is predicted to increase rapidly in the coming years. So a little care can’t hurt the disease.

The program will be from 1 pm in the center of Winschoten on the 21st
September. Cissy Bon provides the music and the dancers are led by Eppie Ahlers.
