Since the start of full-scale fighting in the Gaza Strip, the administration of US President Joe Biden has transferred significant amounts of military aid to Israel, including thousands of 2,000-pound bombs and Hellfire missiles.

This was reported by Reuters, citing information from two American officials.

The article says that since the conflict began in October last year, Israel has received from the United States more than 14,000 bombs weighing 2,000 pounds each, 6,500 500-pound bombs, 3,000 Hellfire missiles, as well as thousands of other types of ammunition.

In May of this year, the administration suspended one shipment of 2,000-pound bombs, citing concerns about their use in densely populated areas of the Gaza Strip. Despite that move, however, Washington confirmed that other shipments would continue as normal.

Last week, a Biden administration official said the United States had sent $6.5 billion in military aid to Israel since Oct. 7. He made the announcement after Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu accused the White House of holding up military aid to Israel.

Earlier, “Kursor” wrote that the US made a new decision regarding arms supplies to Israel. The White House stated that it was ready to resume supplies of 500-pound bombs.
