Azerbaijan’s national air carrier AZAL has started selling air tickets on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route. Tickets are available for purchase on the official website www.azal.az, Day.Az reported on Monday with reference to
ЗАО Azerbaijan Airlines.
From July 17, the airline will start operating regular flights to Fizuli International Airport twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights will be operated from Terminal 2 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
When purchasing air tickets on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route, you should pay attention to the following conditions:
– Only citizens of Azerbaijan can purchase air tickets, since a special permit is required to enter Karabakh.
– To purchase an air ticket, you must log in to the yolumuzqarabaga.az portal and receive a special code. Then, by going to the official website of Azerbaijan Airlines, you can purchase a ticket by confirming permission by entering a special code and the FIN code of your identity card. The special code is valid for one month, and during this period the passenger can purchase an air ticket and travel to Karabakh.
– Due to the fact that purchasing air tickets on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route requires a special permit, verified through the relevant system, they will initially only be available online. Soon this process will also be available in the airline’s mobile application.
– Air tickets can only be purchased round trip, and exclusively on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route.
According to the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the cost of a one-way air ticket is 78 manats. This price includes up to 10 kg of hand luggage and 23 kg of baggage.
Please note that discounts are available for children travelling on this route: 25% of the fare for children aged 2 to 12 years and 90% for infants under 2 years.
