Sudhanshu Mishra, Hardoi: A Muslim youth and his friend who had come to meet their Hindu girlfriend at a temple in Pali town were caught by the people and beaten up mercilessly. The angry mob shaved half of their heads and cut off half of their moustaches. Both somehow survived when the police arrived. Both the youths are in police custody.
On Monday afternoon, when people saw two young men and two young women near a temple in Pali town, they became suspicious and caught the young men. When people questioned the two young men strictly, they confessed to being Muslims.
He was handed over to the police after shaving his head
Some people from the angry mob took the two youths to the bus stand and in a new manner got half of their heads shaved and half of their moustaches cut. In the meantime the local police got the information and the under training sub-inspector of the police station Gyanendra Singh reached there along with a policeman and then the lives of both were saved. The policemen brought both of them to Pali police station. During interrogation, both told their names as Ayan son of Rahees, Sahil son of Sarfauddin, residents of village Yakutganj, police station Kamalganj, district Farrukhabad.
The love affair had been going on for a month
Ayan told that he has been in love with a girl from Pali area for a month. His girlfriend’s sister is getting married in his village where they met at a wedding. Ayan had come to meet his girlfriend with his friend Sahil. The girlfriend also had a friend with her. When they were meeting, people caught him and started beating him. He told that he does tailoring work and his friend Ahil is a helper on a truck. At present, both are in police custody.
