Chinese President Xi Jinping left his country on Tuesday for a trip that will continue until Saturday, during which he will attend a regional summit and pay state visits to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
The official agency said the president left China, accompanied by Foreign Minister Wang Yi and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Tsai Qi.
She explained that during this trip, Xi will attend the twenty-fourth meeting of the Council of Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, which is being organized in Astana.
The permanent members of the OSCE are Kazakhstan, India, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with Iran joining them last year.
