We’re referring to the 135-pound Bantamweight fight valid for UFC Fight Night, which took place in Louisville. And ‘Soncora’, 31 years old, did not let down after the previous fight in the octagon ended in a ‘no contest’, so, as in every duel, he came out to do his best.

“He (John Castañeda) is a great competitor, he’s a great athlete who also wanted to make the top 15. me out, they have to take me out but sleep Well. “Just like that, I’m not going to fall,” he said in an interview for Peru21.
And although this sport is quite physical, it also requires mental preparation to be strong in both senses and not lose motivation.
“I prepare very well, I prepare very well psychologically, very well spiritually, in tackling, in hitting, so it’s a whole thing. “I am developing myself to reach other heights,” says Soncora.
The athlete will leave Peru for Florida to continue his training, after a short but necessary visit to his family in Peru, whom he always visits after one of his fights in the octagon.
“I am returning to Florida to continue training, I hope to fight as soon as possible, it is difficult, but it is not impossible to fight two more times this year. It would be very good. The family received me in the best way, with much, much, much, love. It’s hard to leave them. Apart from my family, the Peruvian fans are always there, it feels very good,” admits the Peruvian.
What’s next Soncora
There is no change in the goal of Daniel Marcos. He wants to be a champion and he is training hard and fair to achieve it, because it is the only path that will take him to the top. Therefore, after the victory, he already has his plans for the rest of the year.
“We’ve been fighting lately, but we’re already looking for a rival. Everything from now on is stronger, those in the Top 15 are very good, and those who come behind are also very good. I think I’ll be in that top spot, I’m focused as always,” he says.
And just as Soncora is focused on his goals, he also shows his gratitude to the UFC fans in Peru who have been supporting him in this sport, a community that is growing hand in hand with the great Peruvian talents.
“Thank you to all the people who are supporting me, all the fans, thank you, I felt your support. I want to make history for Peru. Therefore, we need the support of everyone, not just some, when Peru is fighting, we are all fighting, that’s my way of thinking,” he said.
“I hope people will see the work we do with my Peruvian colleagues from the UFC who need all the support to come forward, we want to be world champions. “There’s a lot of talent here and a lot to work for,” he says.

He celebrated the cream title
Daniel is known to have a big heart and was no stranger to celebrating after winning the Apertura Tournament with Universitario. The uncapped Peruvian in the UFC does not miss the matches of the club he loves.
“I was coaching in Miami when they won the title. I’m always aware of the U, I’m a big fan, it’s part of my history. There is always time to watch the Universitario games,” Soncora tells us. Proud of.
