The United States of America renewed its full support for the mediation efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
This was stated by the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, during his meeting today, Tuesday, with the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, at the headquarters of the UN mission in Tripoli.
The meeting, which was held at the UN mission headquarters in Tripoli, discussed ways to support the upcoming municipal elections.
The US embassy’s account on the “X” platform quoted Brent as saying: “We encourage all stakeholders to engage constructively in the political process in order to overcome Libya’s divisions and formulate a credible roadmap for holding national elections and unified governance.”
