Harsha (age 24) hails from Sivamokkam, Karnataka. He belonged to the Bajrang Dal organization and was brutally killed last Sunday night by some people with deadly weapons including knives.
The incident caused a great stir in the city of Shivamogga. Hindu organizations condemned Harsha’s assassination. Violence also erupted in a few areas during the struggle.
Shops, buses and cars were smashed during the violence. Motorcycles were set on fire and burned. Thus, the tension in Sivamokkam increased. A total of 144 restraining orders have been issued and police have been mobilized across the city to defuse tensions.
In this situation, 6 people have been arrested so far in the murder case of Bajrang Dal leader Harsha. Lakshmi Prasad said. Six of the arrested, including Kashib, Nadeem, Asif and Rihan, are said to be in their 20s and 30s.
