The lifetime president of Mushuc Runa Sporting Club, Luis Alfonso Chango, regretted the idea of turning Pilahuín and the areas surrounding the Mushuc Runa Savings and Credit Cooperative stadium into a hub for economic development through Community Tourism with the Sports Industry.
On his X account, Dr. Chango posted: “These photos will remain in the History of the Indigenous Peoples of Santa Rosa Juan B Vela and Pilahuin. The great dream of turning them into a hub for economic development through Community Tourism with the Sports Industry was not supported.”
“It was not supported by the Municipal Administration of Dr. Javier Altamirano and more than five indigenous councilors, rather Mushuc Runa SC was sanctioned, but the great dreams continue with God’s blessing, but in another Canton, greetings,” emphasized the director of the ‘Ponchito’ team.
Dr. Chango announced that the new sports arena is already being planned at the Mushuc Runa Intercultural and Sports Complex.
