The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan approved the “Charter on Railway Transport”.

As reported by Day.Az on Wednesday, the corresponding decision was signed by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

The Charter defines the organizational principles of the activities of public and non-public railway transport.

Information on tariffs for public rail transport services, restrictions and other requirements established by regulatory legal acts and other information is posted on the owner of the public rail transport infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as the infrastructure owner) and the carrier on their own information resource on the Internet.

Information on the operation of non-public railway transport or individual operations of the transport process that ensure the functioning of railways, railway stations, buildings and power supply structures, communication networks, signaling systems, centralization and blocking, information complexes, traffic control systems, other buildings, structures, sites, structures, protective structures and equipment (hereinafter referred to as non-public railway transport facilities) is posted by the owners in their Internet information reserve or on bulletin boards.

Orders (except for orders containing information constituting a state secret) are accepted by the infrastructure owner and the carrier through their Internet information reserve.

The concepts used in the charter express the meanings provided for in the “Rules for the technical operation of railway transport” and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
