jpnn.comJAPAN – Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) announced that Aleix Espargaro will be with Honda as a test rider starting from the 2025 MotoGP season.
Aleix Espargaro himself will end his time with Aprilia at the end of this season.
“Honda Racing Corporation will strengthen its testing program with the addition of Aleix Espargaro as a test rider in 2025,” Honda’s official statement read.
HRC has appointed Aleix Espargaro as the development leader for the Honda RC213V, and will be assisted by previous Honda test rider Stefan Bradl.
So far, Honda’s motorcycle development has not shown positive results.
The proof is, two Honda riders in MotoGP, Luca Marini and Joan Mir, have still not been able to finish in the top 10.
Meanwhile, Aleix Espargaro admitted that he is very excited about his duties next season.
“It’s an honor to join HRC as a test rider and team member. I will try my best to help them get back to the top,” said Aleix.
