Nikos Filippou officially puts Evagoras in the process of searching for the successor status in the administration. With his post on a social network, the president of the “greens” makes known his decision to leave the commons of the union at the end of October, as well as his intention to hand over the “keys” only to people he judges to be creditworthy, underlining that otherwise the men’s team will not enter the competitions of the new season and the club will remain active only at the academy level.
In his brief account of his ten-year presence in the presidency, Nikos Filippou thanks all those who accompanied him and especially his close associates Yiannis Kaloudis and Panagiotis Taratitas. Analytically:
“The time has come to announce my departure from the Evagora team, ten years of continuous presence in the club that I loved and really adored is enough for a man who spent day and night in the dressing room in the rain and cold. I am open to any serious proposal to anyone who is really interested in taking the club, I repeat only serious proposal.
The group has a history of 40 years, under my presidency it has acquired its own space at the personal expense of me and a partner, it declares its presence every year from the first moment in the notorious GGA register, it has re-established its academy where it numbers approx. 25 kids, he has 23 active football players’ cards, and most importantly, he doesn’t owe anything… If no serious people are found until the start of this year’s league, I will leave the men’s team idle and the club will function as an academy and only until the academy.
In the ten years of my presence in this area, I met and was met by many people, with my good times and with my bad times, I laughed, cried, fought, and did everything just to protect my team. At the end you are left with one question, was it worth it? Yes I will say, it was worth it, these ten years have been deeply engraved in my heart and that is why I will not give the team where yes, I will prefer to download only the academy than to go or team to astute.
