jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Indonesian House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani also highlighted the case of the death of a junior high school student in Padang, West Sumatra, Afif Maulana.
He firmly asked the authorities to pay special attention to handling the case.
“Law enforcers must directly pay special attention to this matter. Because, of course, first, the victim, as mentioned earlier, is a child. Then, the case dragged on, so of course it must be followed up,” said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (4/7).
In addition, Puan also specifically promised to intervene directly to request that Afif’s death case be handled professionally.
“Later I will ask for immediate follow-up,” he said.
The lady stated that she had just heard about the case.
“I just heard this, to be honest,” he said.
Meanwhile, on a different occasion, the West Sumatra (Sumbar) Provincial Police Chief, Inspector General (Irjen) of Police Suharyono, emphasized that the agency he leads did not stop or close the case of Afif Maulana’s death.
