Foreign Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League commented that BNP now has a ghost. Hasan Mahmud.

He said, now there is ‘ghost’ and ‘terror’ prevailing in BNP. The party workers now fear waking up in the morning to find that the post is gone!

Foreign Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League Dr. Dr. Hasan Mahmud says these things.

In the event, the minister also said that the BNP has now become a parasitic party after losing the momentum of the movement. They are now focusing on students’ movement, teachers’ movement. Losing the ability to move themselves, they are doing the movement.

Joint general secretary of Awami League said that BNP speaks against the government despite the benefits of the government’s development. There is no development in the country because the airport is 10 minutes away from the flyover. Riding AC in metro rail, got down in front of the press club and spoke against the government, spoke against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said, the other day I saw a young man on Facebook compared BNP’s Hakdak with Hanuman’s Hakdak.

The minister said about the foreign policy of Bangladesh at this time, our policy is not enmity with anyone, but friendship with everyone. Just as we have excellent relations with India, we also have excellent relations with China. Just as we have excellent relations with Russia, we also have excellent relations with the United States.

He said, in the current context, it is difficult to keep friendship with everyone and move forward, it is not easy. Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been moving forward with the principle of friendship with all, not enmity with anyone.

The minister also said that the Indian High Commission issues the highest number of visas for Bangladesh in the world. Similarly, Bangladesh High Commissions located in India issue maximum number of visas for Bangladeshi citizens and Indian citizens. This is one of the rarest events in the world among neighboring countries.

Hasan Mahmud said, there is no border post in Europe. Is there a loss of sovereignty of countries? We have entered into various agreements with India to enhance connectivity. There will be connectivity with Nepal. We are also working on plans to increase connectivity with other South Asian countries.

Regarding the students’ movement, the minister said, I think there is a misunderstanding here. In sympathy with the students, the government abolished the quota system. This was done through the courts. Today as the officials including the education minister are going to hold a meeting on the matter, I hope a good solution will be found.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University spoke as a special guest at the event under the chairmanship of Awami League leader MA Karim.
