In a brief statement, the Court said that the president of the Judiciary is continuing the dialogue with the other powers and will lead the closing of the forums of the National Meetings for a Security and Justice Agenda on July 8.
“In light of the press reports regarding the alleged request for resignation of the Chief Justice Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, it is reported that she continues with the jurisdictional and administrative work inherent to her position, and maintains dialogue with the Legislative and Executive branches in view of a judicial reform.”

In turn, the “President of the Court and of the Federal Judicial Council will lead, on Monday, July 8, the last of 14 forums of the National Meeting for a Security and Justice Agenda, the largest effort to listen to citizens in order to formulate a proposal for judicial reform in August based on said forums.”
