High-ranking officials including the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Choi Ma-ho of Anyang City. On the 3rd, Anyang City received a visit from the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, and the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) to learn about advanced administration.
According to the city on the 4th, Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense Bui Trong Hieu, Defense Attaché at the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea Le Hiep Lam, and Chairman of the Vietnam-South Korea Business and Investment Association Tran Hai Linh visited Anyang the previous day.
After visiting Anyang Mayor Choi Ma-ho at the city hall and having a friendly chat, they toured the newly expanded Anyang Smart City Integrated Center and experienced firsthand the cutting-edge technology that integrates CCTV to safely manage the city.
Deputy Minister Lê Huy Binh said, “Vietnam is currently focusing on developing public-private cooperation (governance), information, and economic productivity based on digital technologies,” and added, “Through my visit to Anyang Smart City Integrated Center, I would like to learn Anyang’s secrets regarding infrastructure and database (DB) management.”
Mayor Choi responded, “I hope that Anyang’s smart advanced technology can become an opportunity to join Vietnam on its path to growth, and I hope that this visit to Korea will produce good results.”
Following the visit by Vietnamese officials from Bac Lieu Province and Can Tho City People’s Committee last year, the visit by Vietnamese officials from Lam Dong Province and others in April this year to Anyang is continuing this year.
The city is seeking to support the development of emerging markets in Southeast Asia and the expansion of sales channels that are driving global economic growth through exchanges with Vietnam. In addition, the city plans to continue to take active steps to increase the diversity of international exchange cities that are focused on the Americas and Northeast Asia, secure bases on each continent, and enhance global influence.
Meanwhile, a Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense delegation led by Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Huy Binh visited South Korea on the 30th of last month at the invitation of the South Korean government, along with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
