In the #UrsulaGates case, Fréderic Baldan and Me Protat have, on June 21, asked the Brussels judge for the proceedings to order under penalty of suspension the candidacy of Mrs von der Leyen for the position of President of the European Commission.
They were removed on June 26, 2024, in what seems like a combination between justice and politics, while the defendant, the EPP (European People’s Party) did not appear at the hearing. In addition, the judgment clearly contains serious errors regarding the neglect of the protection afforded by the law to whistleblowers.
An appeal was filed on June 28, 2024 within the allotted time frame with a hearing quickly scheduled by the Court during the judicial break on July 4 at 9 am.

The absence of PPE is news that is noticed on the bench, but also noted by the Court Administrator who was worried about the fact that the EPP can’t get it the letter calling the case.

After a few minutes’ discussion with Mr. Protat, he decided to refer the case so that Mr. Protat and his client Frédéric Baldan could have the question and the documents sent to the PPE by the bailiff. This allows, among other things, to eliminate the possibility of calling that the PPE does not come to the hearing in 3 times and calls good faith! The hearing was therefore adjourned until July 9 at 9 am in room 1.32 of the Brussels Court.
