The Moroccan Royal Palace informed this Saturday of the death of Princess Lalla Latifa, wife of King Hassan II and mother of the current monarch, Mohamed VI. He was 78 years old.

Lalla Latifa Amahzún was born in 1946 in Jenifra within the isolated Amazún family, within the Zayán tribe. His father, Hasán Uld Muha and Hamú Zayani, was from Jenifra, in the interior of Morocco.
She married on November 9, 1961 with Hassan II in a double ceremony with Lalla Lamia as Solh, who contracted marriage with the prince Mulay Abadalá, collected the Moroccan press.
