A company that seeks to combat malnutrition in Guatemala
Listo is a social enterprise committed to the fight against child malnutrition in Guatemala. Through products such as the fortified peanut paste Maní+ and Nutri Listo, they have positively impacted the lives of thousands of children, reaching both local and international non-governmental organizations, and also directly to Guatemalan families.
The creation of Maní+, its first product, arose from the observation of the chronic malnutrition conditions suffered by many children in the country. This is a fortified peanut paste for children from 6 years old created by Professor Ted Fischer. The organization’s data indicate that one in two children under five years old does not receive the vitamins and minerals necessary to fully develop their physical, cognitive and social capacities. In indigenous communities, this figure rises to eight out of ten children.
With its products, the company seeks to change this reality, constantly evolving and taking into account the lessons learned from its first creations. Its goal is to make these products accessible and available in more places.
