(Owais Kayani) The federal cabinet has increased the basic electricity tariff for domestic consumers by 7 rupees 12 paise.
After the approval of the cabinet, the basic tariff per unit of electricity has reached to Rs 48 84 paisa, after sales tax the basic tariff per unit will reach to Rs 57 63 paisa.
After adjustments, taxes, the maximum tariff per unit of electricity will exceed 65 rupees.
The monthly tariff of non-projected domestic consumers from one to 100 units will increase by Rs. 7.11 to Rs. 23.59, the monthly tariff from 101 to 200 units will increase by Rs. 7.12 to Rs. 30.07, the monthly tariff from 201 to 300 units will increase by Rs. 7.12 to Rs. 34. 26 per month, the tariff of 301 to 400 units per month will be Rs 39.15 with an increase of Rs. The tariff will increase by Rs 6.12 to Rs 43.92, the tariff of more than 700 units per month will increase by Rs 6.12 to Rs 48.84.
Talking about protected customers, for Lifeline customers up to 50 units per month, Rs. 3.95 per unit will be maintained, for Lifeline customers from 51 to 100 units per month, Rs. 7.74 per unit will be maintained, from one to 100 units, the tariff for protected customers will be increased by Rs. 3.95. .69 will be Rs., the tariff of protected customers from 101 to 200 units per month will be increased by Rs.4.10 to Rs.14.16.
