It is important to highlight that the Venezuelan Adjustment Act is a project that was delivered to the Chamber of Deputies or House of Representatives of the United States Congress on May 19, 2022, under the number HR 7854, with the purpose of: That Venezuelans who legally arrived in the United States before December 31, 2021 can apply for residency, from that date, in one year and one day of uninterrupted physical presence.

This initiative to benefit Venezuelans who have arrived in the land of freedom in recent years, was born from the Cuban Adjustment Act, under which those born on the island who have entered the country legally, upon reaching one year and one day, can obtain American residency.
