Organized by the Al Alam Maana association for people with disabilities, in partnership with the RTCMA, the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities (FRMSPSH), this sporting event, which continues until July 7, sees the participation of athletes from different countries, including Morocco, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Pakistan, Poland, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Italy, Turkey and Greece, thus reinforcing the international and inclusive nature of this competition.

In a statement to MAP, French player Yoann Quillio praised the warm welcome given to participants as well as the good organization of this international sporting event.

“This qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will contribute to the promotion of wheelchair tennis in Morocco and will give young Moroccan players the opportunity to develop their skills,” he added.

The French player also highlighted the great experience that the Kingdom has accumulated in organizing major continental and international sports competitions in recent years, noting that hosting such a tournament will make Morocco a global destination for wheelchair tennis players.

It should be remembered that as part of this tournament, a wheelchair tennis exhibition will be held on July 6 on Jemaa Fna Square, allowing the public to discover and experience this sport.
