The correspondent of the (INA) reported that “the technical staff of the Lions of Mesopotamia, led by Tunisian Hussam bin Nour, aspires to achieve a distinguished result despite the insufficient preparations that preceded the tournament, as they were limited to an internal training camp in the city of Najaf.”
It is noteworthy that the Lions of Mesopotamia started their journey in the tournament by defeating their Jordanian counterparts with a score of (40 – 28) goals, and our national team player Reda Ahmed Aboud received the award for best player in the match, while the Bahraini team defeated its Syrian competitor (41 – 16) goals.
