The President of the Supreme Council of State, Mohamed Takala, attended the celebration held by the US Embassy in Libya, on Thursday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America, which falls on July 4, 1776.
According to the media office of the Council, this participation comes to express the importance of Libyan-American relations, as Takala congratulated the Chargé d’Affaires and members of the diplomatic corps at the embassy.
In turn, the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Brent, expressed his happiness with the participation of what he described as close Libyan partners in the celebration of the 248th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
Bert stressed in a tweet published by the US Embassy via its account on the “X” platform that this presence is a sign of the friendship between the Libyan and American peoples and our mutual commitment to expanding bilateral relations.
