Iraq second in importing fruits and vegetables from Türkiye during the past month

/ The Board of Directors of the Turkish Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association announced on Monday that Iraq came in second place in importing fresh fruits and vegetables during the past month.

“We exported a total of 531,998 tons of vegetables and fruits to international markets last month, and tangerines ranked first in the list of the products we exported the most, followed by tomatoes and lemons,” said Ferhat Guruz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association.

He pointed out that “the countries that imported the most from Turkey are Russia, Iraq and Romania, and Russia ranked first by exporting $81.9 million, $48.8 million to Iraq, and $31.3 million to Romania.”
