– I will not come back here again, he says in the live stream.
The American YouTuber “iShowSpeed”, or “Speed” as he is called, has just arrived in Oslo, after a trip to Sweden.
People take to the streets to catch a glimpse of the YouTuber.
The visit will be broadcast live on YouTube. At the time of writing, the live broadcast from Oslo has a total of 215,000.
Outside the Way-Nor store there is complete chaos, with large crowds waiting for the superstar.
– They don’t listen. He thought people in Norway were quieter than this, he says.
As soon as he went to the window, people started laughing. Spectators broke the glass door into the building.
– We have it with us. We have police halfway around. But this is a guy who’s here to put on a show, so it’s not a police case right now. We are not taking any action at the moment, says Oslo police operations manager Thomas Khan The online newspaper.
– Do you have any general advice for those staying in the area now?
– It’s just that people have to behave as usual. Don’t push each other, think about traffic, don’t go on the road. A lot can happen when there’s congestion, says Khan.
– We understand on the internet that he wants to get help from the police, but he informed him that we will not help until he finishes the live broadcast. He is clearly interested in this attention, operations manager Khan tells Avisa Oslo.
– So far the police are not a party to this, except that many people are out on the streets, Khan continues.
– Now I have a problem
At 21.40 the YouTuber tries to leave the area, but his car cannot reach the door because of the large crowd.
Speed says in the live broadcast that the police refuse to help him until he finishes the live broadcast.
“Speed”, or Darren Jason Watkins Jr. as he is actually called, he was wearing a Norwegian football kit and a Viking helmet on the trip to Oslo.
In the live broadcast, the YouTube profile calls the police, who come to the scene to help them.
– Now I have a problem, my driver refuses to drive through this, Speed says in the live broadcast.
Speed wants to get people off the streets.
– How can I ask people to leave in Norwegian? he asks.
– Inhuman
In the live broadcast, “Speed” suspects that he has sprained his ankle after falling in the shop. A woman in the video, who is alleged to be a doctor, advises the YouTuber to take an X-ray of his leg.
The outing from Way-Nor created outrage from the crowd.
At that point, the police felt they had to help, because the “car was overrun” by young people trying to get into the car.
Some time after the Internet phenomenon was escorted from the souvenir shop, he appeared on his own live broadcast again in the car.
Then, he claims that people did not show respect when they tried to escape from the store.
– I love my Norwegian fans, but bro, they weren’t listening. I’ve never been in a country where people don’t listen. I was in every country, and it was wild, but it was inhuman, he says, and says:
– Norway, I’m sorry, but I’ll probably never come back.
After “Speed” left the area, the Avisa Oslo reporter noticed that fireworks had been set off in the streets.
