jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia is currently investigating alleged corruption involving a member of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia with the initials AS and a member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the initials HG.
Jakarta Barometer public policy observer Jim Lomen Sihombing appreciated the KPK’s steps in investigating the alleged corruption and reminded the KPK to maintain its commitment to law enforcement.
Moreover, the US is often summoned by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) for several corruption cases involving public officials.
“First, I appreciate the KPK revealing who was involved. Second, according to information, AS is often called by the KPK as a witness in corruption cases,” said Jim in his statement, Saturday (6/7).
He reminded that the investigation should not stop and just evaporate.
This 1998 activist from the Trisakti Student Alumni Corps (KAMTRI) revealed that the alleged corruption case that is now dragging the US into further shows how bad the integrity of the members of the Republic of Indonesia’s BPK is.
However, he hopes that this will be the last case that will tarnish the BPK’s image in the eyes of the public.
“We hope that the KPK will be the vanguard in facing big mafias. And this will be the last case at the BPK,” he said.
