jpnn.comJAKARTA – Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said that the addition of the job structure was a form of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri wanting to strengthen her stance in facing future challenges.

This was conveyed by Hasto after attending the swearing-in ceremony for the PDIP DPP management for the 2019-2024 term of office, which was extended until 2025 at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Friday (5/7).

“In the meeting earlier, regarding party consolidation, Mrs Mega did announce changes to the structure of the PDI Perjuangan DPP and the heads of agencies, this is nothing other than part of the adaptation. policy which is strategic in facing future challenges that are not easy, but this structure is also needed to prepare for the simultaneous regional elections, because what we want to build with the regional elections are the principles of equality for every child of the nation to be encouraged through a democratic process, to become ideal leaders even though they come from ordinary people,” said Hasto.

According to Hasto, the importance of democracy is also to have candidates who have professional abilities, ideological commitment, technocratic abilities, to bring about change in Indonesia. Hasto also does not want the Pilkada to become an elite consensus that then makes arrangements and brings distance with its people.

“Regional elections must be a movement on how equal rights to become leaders can be developed. This is a critique of how it seems like these regional elections are only a consensus of the elite,” said Hasto.

This Yogyakarta politician also said that PDIP is opening up space for ordinary people to be able to process through the Party School.

In the structure of the PDIP DPP, Hasto said there are new names including Adian Napitupulu as deputy secretary general for Communication and Information. Hasto assessed Adian’s ability to provide explanations to the public in a way that can be accepted by the public, based on communication principles based on the Party’s ideology.

Then, the name Ronny Talapessy, became the chairman of the DPP for legal reform. Hasto assessed that there was a tendency towards legal autocracy, autocratic legalism where it must be answered that the law reflects a collective idea and hope of the people.
