jpnn.comSACHSENRING – Yamaha appoints GRT WSBK rider Remy Gardner to replace Alex Rins at the German MotoGP, July 5-7, 2024.

Alex Rins was unable to race due to injuries to his right leg and wrist, after crashing at the Dutch MotoGP.

Currently, the Spanish racer is still in the recovery period for three weeks, after surgery to heal his injury.

Therefore, Alex Rins was forced to miss the German MotoGP series held at Sachsenring, Rins will not be competing yet.

Gardner himself is a Yamaha WorldSBK racer who has experience in MotoGP.

The Australian rider won the 2021 Moto2 and the Tech3 KTM Team for MotoGP 2022.

Gardner then left MotoGP to join GRT for WorldSBK 2023-2024.

The German MotoGP takes place on July 5-7, one week before the next WorldSBK round, at Donington, on July 12-14. (gpone/jpnn)
