Islamabad: With powerful jets like Rafale and Sukhoi, the Indian Air Force has established its dominance as a regional superpower. Pakistan is most afraid of this. This is the reason why Pakistan is trying to find a way to avoid India’s air defense. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Navy has tested the surface-to-air FN-6 missile using the ground air defense system. The Pakistani Army’s propaganda wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has given this information. This test was conducted in the presence of Coast Commander Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz.
Pakistan claims successful test
According to an ISPR release, the Pakistan Navy’s ground air defence system successfully attacked aerial targets during a live weapon firing exercise. Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Rab Nawaz addressed his troops present at the base and expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the air defence system. He said that the Pakistan Navy is fully capable of responding to any enemy aggression.
What is the capability of FN-6?
Through a live demonstration of the ground-based air defense system in Karachi, Pakistan has tried to show the strength of the navy. FN-6 is a ground-to-air missile, which is known for its accuracy. Defense experts have described it as a third generation missile. This missile developed by China is a man portable air defense system, meaning it can be carried by humans. The FN-6 missile has been designed to target low altitude targets. Its range is 6 km and maximum height is 3.8 km. It is equipped with a digital infrared seeker. Apart from Pakistan, this missile has also been given to countries like Malaysia, Cambodia, Sudan and Peru.
