Italian club Napoli has completed its agreement with Real Madrid on the final details of the deal to sign a defender from Los Blancos.
The southern Italian team has been in contact with Real Madrid in recent weeks to finalise a deal to sign defender Rafa Marin, to give new Napoli coach Antonio Conte a strong boost in defence.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Napoli reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Marin for 12 million euros, despite previous reports that the deal was worth only 10 million.
The 22-year-old defender is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy but has never played for the club’s first team until now, having spent last season on loan at Alaves.
The newspaper concluded that Napoli will organize a medical examination for Marin in the coming few days, as the club will begin its preparations for the new season on July 9.
