The Council of Arab Ministers of Information, May 27-29 in Bahrain
Cairo – The 54th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council will be held from May 27 to 29 in Bahrain.
This session will focus on several issues, including strengthening Arab cooperation mechanisms in the media field and developing the Arab media system in its entirety and diversity, stressed Deputy Secretary General and Head of the Arab League Media and Communications Department, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi.
This meeting is intended to be an opportunity to discuss ways of implementing the Arab media strategy to combat terrorism adopted at the Bahrain Summit, in addition to other issues relating to the Arab media map for sustainable development 2030, ecological and educational media and improving the place of women in the media.
The agenda of this meeting includes the development of capacities through the applications of Artificial Intelligence and the proposal of the General Secretariat concerning the improvement of the code of ethics of the Arab media, respecting the rules of pluralism, transparency and neutrality, as well as the regulatory issues of the Council, its structures and the agenda of its meetings.
On the sidelines of this 54th session, the winners of the eighth edition of the Arab Media Excellence Award will be revealed.
