British voters will choose a new government on Thursday, after polls open at 7 a.m. for parliamentary elections widely expected to bring the Labor Party to power.
In the context of the economic recession, the growing lack of trust in government institutions, and the deterioration of social frameworks, voters are divided in their judgment on the Conservative Party led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has been in power since 2010 in respect.
The Labor party, led by Keir Starmer, has held a steady and significant lead in the polls for several months, but Labor leaders have warned against taking the election result for granted, fearing that their supporters will stay at home .
For his part, Sunak tried to encourage his supporters, saying: “He still believes that the Conservatives can win and defend their record on the economy.”
