In a festive atmosphere and general jubilation, the audience present was able to meet talented artists, in this sumptuous palace which, thanks to its subdued lighting and majestic architecture, offered an intimate and captivating setting, ideal for fully appreciating the artistic performances scheduled throughout the evening.

The costumes decorated with fine embroidery and traditional instruments, such as bendirs and flutes, transported the audience on a sensory journey through the mountains, valleys and oases of this part of the national territory. A true immersion in the heart of the deep soul of Amazigh culture was thus offered to festival-goers.

The evening began with the group “Tidili”, whose dancers captivated the audience with their spontaneous and perfectly synchronized movements.

A unique opportunity for the public present among the Marrakchis and visitors of the Ochre City to discover the beauty and singularity of the colorful costumes worn by the artists. A journey also guaranteed to the heart of the symbolic depth of the ancestral traditions of the High Atlas.

Then, the Sidi Ali Saouleh troupe took to the stage, giving the festival-goers time to enjoy poignant songs and magical rhythms, transporting the spectators to the vast expanses of the High Atlas.

Afterwards, it was up to Ahouach Aoulouz to offer the audience a memorable performance, setting the pace with hypnotic precision and vibrant energy thanks to talented artists who were so proud to participate in this festival which celebrates and perpetuates their unique and precious cultural heritage.

In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Abdellah Nait Lhaj, Maâlem of the Ahouach Aoulouz troupe expressed his gratitude and pride in sharing this ancestral art with such a passionate and receptive audience.

“It is an honour for us to represent our region and to see that our traditions are highly appreciated and at their true value by the public, within this historic and prestigious setting of the Bahia Palace,” he said in a tone of joy and pride.

This evening at the Bahia Palace was not only a celebration of music and dance, but also a tribute to the richness and singularity of Amazigh culture.

Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region, and several other partners, this edition is distinguished by the development of two performance stages, namely the Jemaâ El Fna Square and the Jnan El Harti Square, as well as by the choice for the first time of the Bahia Palace, to organize “Thematic Evenings”.

One of the highlights of this new edition is the organization of an international evening, highlighting Chinese, Indonesian and Moroccan artistic groups, as well as a special segment entitled “Les Nuits des Étoiles”, which this year pays tribute to the artist and composer Nouaman Lahlou.
