It is a tragic accident that cost the lives of 6 people, injuring several others on the night of Friday to Saturday July 6, 2024 in Labota, in the Mambia district.
According to our information, a flat tire was the cause of this other road tragedy.
It was a minibus with registration RG 14-54-V coming from Labé to Conakry that had its tire punctured, hence the cause of this fatal accident.
“It’s a minibus coming from Labé. The front tire punctured on the wrong turn and the van went into the ravine. We’re talking about 6 dead and several injured. It’s the state of the road first. The road is too small. And where we are, in Labota, really, the work was poorly done. It must be recognized. This is just my opinion, but the turn was poorly done. Even if you’re on a motorbike, you skid here, it’s deadly. Where there is the mosque to the right, going towards Conakry, the part is very bad. If we could still go back on the work there, that would be good, really. Let the public works people review the situation in Labota. Drivers also have to drive slowly,” fumed Labilé 2 Loua, secretary general of the Mambia sub-prefecture.
