According to data presented at a meeting of the Regional Committee for Human Development (CRDH), held recently in Tangier, and chaired by the Wali of the region, Younes Tazi, the rate of completion of the funded projects reached approximately 95%, specifying that the contribution of the INDH amounted to 1.78 billion dirhams.
Thus, 1,002 projects were carried out in the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, 560 in the province of Ouezzane, 489 in the province of Larache, 482 in the provinces of Tetouan and Chefchaouen, 473 in the province of Al Hoceima, 401 in the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, and 276 in the province of Fahs-Anjra.
The data reveals that 3,791 projects have been completed, representing 95% of the funded projects, while 332 are currently underway.
In this regard, 2,537 projects (442.1 million dirhams) are part of the program “Improving the income and economic inclusion of young people”, 785 projects (932.8 MDH) in the wake of the program “Improving the human capital of rising generations”, 196 projects (359 MDH) in the framework of the program “Catching up deficits in infrastructure and basic social services”, and 656 projects (327.1 MDH) in the framework of the program “Support for people in precarious situations.
Among the achievements made within the framework of the INDH in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region are the construction of 174 kilometers of roads, the connection of more than 1,234 douars to the drinking water network, and the completion of several projects in the fields of education (school transport, upgrading of schools and preschool education) and health.
Added to this is the construction and equipment of reception and social integration centers, blood transfusion centers, and maternity homes, as well as the training of women and vulnerable groups in society, in addition to the promotion of new dynamics in the field of youth and women’s employment.
