(ANSA) – BARI, JULY 8 – “We have submitted a regional bill to address the temptations to repeal the Lorenzin decree on mandatory vaccination for minors and any initiative of the same kind that anyone should undertake in the future. So if there is no state law, the regional law will come into force. And all this to ensure the health of Puglia’s children and avoid, at least for Puglia, sensational returns to the past”. This was communicated by regional councillors Fabiano Amati, commissioner of Action in Puglia, and Paolo Campo, group leader of the Democratic Party.
In the proposed law, Article 1 states: “In order to preserve the health of minors and the community with which they come into contact, an annual requirement for access to nursery schools and educational and recreational services for infancy and early childhood, both public and private, is to have fulfilled the vaccination obligations prescribed by current legislation, including the vaccinations recommended by the current National Vaccination Prevention Plan. Fines from 250 to 2,500 euros are foreseen”. (ANSA).
