Around 600 people can watch the “ZDF-Fernsehgarten” live from Mainz’s Lerchenberg. But not everyone follows the rules.
On Sunday, things got romantic in the “Fernsehgarten”. The ZDF show was all about love and weddings. In addition to pop stars such as Marina Marx, Claudia Jung and Johnny Logan, Frank Matthée was also a guest. The 56-year-old is Germany’s most famous wedding planner. He organized the wedding of Sarah Connor and Marc Terenzi 20 years ago.
However, he had a different role on Sunday afternoon in the “ZDF-Fernsehgarten”. Frank Matthée was responsible for the bridal couple games. In the July 7 edition, three couples took part and had to compete against each other in several games. The winning couple received a honeymoon as a gift.
There were three games on the program in total. Shortly before the end came the grand finale: the grissini labyrinth. The last two couples had to guide the Italian breadstick through a Plexiglas labyrinth with their mouths.
While Frank Matthée was still explaining the rules of the game, the audience in the front row could be seen no longer looking at the stage, but turning to the left. What was happening there was not visible to the viewers in front of the screens. Shortly afterwards, Andrea Kiewel addressed the troublemakers in the audience. “I can already hear excited giggling and screaming. Men, stay in your briefs! Everything is fine.”
Not even three minutes later, the hostess had to approach the loud viewers in the “ZDF-Fernsehgarten” again. “Men, what’s wrong with you? Have you eaten a clown for breakfast?” There was no answer. The presenter returned to the game. The show was able to continue without any further problems.
Anyone who wants to take part in the “ZDF-Fernsehgarten” live must follow the rules. For example, it is not permitted to bring “alcoholic drinks, bottles, dangerous/sharp objects, or your own seating.” A leaflet from the broadcaster also states that production processes must not be disrupted. “This person must therefore expect to be denied access to the premises,” it continues.
Next week, viewers can look forward to the popular Mallorca party. Ballermann stars such as Mickie Krause, Julian Sommer, Lorenz Büffel, Markus Becker, Anna-Maria Zimmermann and Isi Glück are expected.
