Speaking on this occasion, the Secretary General of Rabita, Ahmed Abbadi, stressed that this General Assembly is looking at a series of mechanisms that should contribute to the consecration of the values of Islam within society.
This requires a range of measures and provisions in accordance with the noble path and the Sunnah of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed (PBUH), particularly in the contemporary context marked by technological revolutions, artificial intelligence and the knowledge society, while taking into consideration aspects related to the plural identity of the Kingdom, explained Mr. Abbadi, emphasizing the major role of the ulama in achieving this objective.
Based on the mission assigned to it by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, Rabita Mohammadia is one of the institutions that ensure the consecration of the values of the Muslim religion among citizens and within society, headed by the institution of Imarat Al Mouminine, the Higher Council of Ulemas, the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, Al Qaraouiyine University, Koranic schools and Sufi brotherhoods, without forgetting the academic component, he added.
This session was marked by the presentation and unanimous approval of the moral and financial reports for the year 2023, as well as by presentations focusing in particular on the program “Iqtidar: assessment and prospects”, “The system of centers and units +Ajial+ for immunization and support: assessment and prospects”, “The achievements of the program for renewing the understanding of our Islamic sciences”, the novelties of the program “Atouni” and the new publications of the institution, in addition to the examination of the management of the affairs of the Rabita.
According to the Rabita Mohammadia of Ulemas, this general assembly aims to contribute to strengthening the foundations of the spiritual security of the Kingdom and to the consecration of the constants of the religious identity and territorial integrity of Morocco under the wise leadership of the protector of faith and worship, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine, may God assist Him.
