Judge orders preventive detention for “El Patrón” for attack on Gómez Leyva

A judge ruled preventive prison justified against Armando Escárcega, alias “The boss”for his probable participation in the attack against Ciro Gomez Leyvawhich must be served in the Northern Prison.

After the initial hearing resumed, the precautionary measure was imposed by a control judge, who also rejected the transfer of “El Patrón” to a federal prison, so that this subject must serve preventive detention within the facilities of the Reclusorio Norte, which was confirmed by the journalist through his social networks.

“Armando Escárcega, the Patron, has been ordered to be held in preventive detention for justified reasons. The judge rejects the decision to take him to the federal prison in Altiplano. He will remain in the Reclusorio Norte,” the journalist said in a post on his social media account “X.”

“El Patrón” is accused of his possible participation as the mastermind behind the attack against journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva, and therefore faces charges of criminal association and attempted murder.
