Pablo Gomez Alvaroz, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF), was admitted to the hospital for a tachycardia picture.

In an information card, the department confirmed that the official is stable and denied that he had suffered a heart attack.

“Regarding the health of the head of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Pablo Gómez Álvarez, we inform that he is at the ISSSTE National Medical Center on November 20.”

The UIF added that its head “was admitted due to tachycardia caused by dehydration. Gómez Álvarez is well and stable. He did not suffer a heart attack and his clinical picture is being studied.”

On July 4, the official issued a report at the morning conference on the Latinus consortium and indicated that it is being investigated for alleged money laundering.

The head of the UIF also read out the names of the company’s employees and their salaries.
