How can Independiente del Valle win Phase 1 on matchday 14?
Independiente del Valle arrives as leader with 29 points, one behind Aucas, three behind Liga de Quito, four behind Barcelona and seven behind Universidad Católica. Javier Gandolfi’s team depends on itself to win Phase 1 and there is only one scenario in which they could win it on matchday 14.
To start, Liga de Quito must not win its pending match against Barcelona. That result is the first step for IDV to secure the lead. From then on, this Saturday Aucas must lose and LDU, Chatoleí and Barcelona must not get a win in their respective matches. If that scenario occurs and Rayados beat Macará, they will win Phase 1 of the LigaPro on matchday 14.
