Ninth grader Victoria Varbanova from the Profiled Language High School “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Veliko Tarnovo is among the eight winners from Bulgaria in the Bavarian Olympiad in German, the school announced. The organizer of the prestigious international competition is the province of the same name in Germany.

Every year, the topic on which the students work has a different focus. In 2024, it is “Bavaria builds in green”. Students from 23 Bulgarian schools participated in the Olympiad, where there is preparation for the acquisition of a German language diploma. which certainly brought her even greater recognition. The high school has been sending out its representatives since 2007, when we started preparing students for the DSD diploma. The Olympiad, organized by the state of Bavaria, is for 9th grade students who speak the language at B1 level.
Victoria Varbanova’s prize is a trip to Munich in early autumn.
