Muharram plan does not include any cuts »

Today, Sunday, the Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi, explained the contents of the plan to secure the atmosphere of the holy month of Muharram. While he indicated that it will facilitate the movement of visitors to the holy Kadhimiya, he indicated that it will not include any road closures.

Al-Tamimi told the (INA): “The Baghdad Operations Command has prepared a comprehensive plan for the month of Muharram, which began with implementing preemptive operations on the outskirts of the capital, and included activating intelligence efforts and securing holy places, as well as mosques, Husseiniyas, and places where Husseini mourning councils are held.”
He added, “There are no interruptions during the month of Muharram,” noting that “there are great facilities for the passage of visitors during the visit in Baghdad towards the holy Kadhimiya.”
