As a result of drone attacks, an oil tank depot caught fire in the Volgograd region, the governor of the region, Anfrey Bocharov, reported. He stated that the fire was caused by debris from the downed drones.
The drones also hit the transformer station, Bocharov reported.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that 38 Ukrainian army drones were intercepted at night over Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov and Astrakhan regions.
Volgograd region was not mentioned in the ministry’s list, but Russian authorities confirmed that air traffic at airports in Volgograd and Astrakhan regions was temporarily suspended.
The Russian army reported that several drones were shot down over Belgorod and Astrakhan regions this morning as well.
Ukraine is trying to paralyze fuel supplies to the Russian army with drone attacks on Russian oil refineries and gasoline depots.
